Georgia Goodman is what you might call from everywhere and nowhere. Born in Taiwan to a Vietnamese mother and a mixed race French African father, her upbringing probably contributed to her nomadic lifestyle and choice of career. Her childhood was spent in exotic countries including Lebanon, The Phillipines, Japan and Africa, along the way picking up cultural wisdom that has served her well in the roles she has since played on screen and on stage. Vancouver, BC is where the acting bug bit and she has since been scratching that itch.
Settling in London, not before pleasing her parents and graduating with a BA in Economics in France, she resumed her acting training at the famous Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art before it permanently closed in 2006.
With an aptitude in picking up new languages and accents, and due to her exotic looks, Georgia has played a variety of roles from Filipino in independent British feature PARADISE GROVE starring Ron Moody (Oscar nominee, Fagan in Oliver), to Latin American in Alfonso Cuarón's bleak futuristic feature CHILDREN OF MEN, along the way playing a variety of American roles, lately in Paul Greengrass's latest feature CAPTAIN PHILLIPS. Georgia has also recently won Best Actress in short film GLORIA, for workers' union United, depicting the plight of Latin American workers in London, and has been nominated as Best Character in the 48 Hour Film Project London in STUFFED WITH LOVE.
Her looks have not always made it easy to gain roles in the industry and Georgia is a passionate advocate for ethnic and gender diversity on stage and screen. She set up production company South London Productions in 2015 and her first foray as a producer was the play FAT PIG by Neil LaBute, playing to great reviews at the Bread & Roses Theatre in Clapham, South London.
Writing is her latest passion and with a head full of ideas based on her own personal life, watch this space for Georgia's upcoming projects at a screen or stage near you!
"Olivia is one of those characters you just love to hate. Georgia (Goodman) had me in stitches!"
